Google Nexus one


Beginning of the year 2010 will see the launch of the much awaited and discussed smart phone from Google.

The Google phone called as Nexus One, will be unveiled on Jan 5 of 2010, with the latest Android operating system version 2.1. It will feature a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, a 3.7-inch, 480 x 800 display, has 512MB of ROM, 512MB of RAM, and a 4GB microSD card (expandable to 32GB) , 5-megapixel camera and Wi-Fi connectivity. It also includes light sensor, proximity sensor, and accelerometer.

Android operating system is already being used in many other existing smart phones by vendors like Motorola, Samsung and HTC.

Tech anticipation now and then

Just came across a year 2007 post by current CTO of Cisco who was then CTO of Motorola, the post of in response to announcement of iPhone by Apple. Those serious doubts expressed by Ms. Padmashree Warrior sounds funny now. Enjoy how she was caught on wrong side while reading the post while witnessing the success of iPhone. Which changed the mobile world dramatically.

First 4G Telecom services launched

Nordic telecom operator TeliaSonera launched 4G telecom services in Stockholm and Oslo.

According to the company, the added capacity of the 4G/LTE services will make it easier for customers to perform more web-based tasks requiring high transmission speed and capacity, such as web conferences, online games, or web TV.
