Micromax Funbook

Micromax the mobile handset giant in India, has launched a tablet in Indian market at the price of Rs. 6499/-, with tie-up for 3G internet dongle of Tata Photon Plus and educational software of Vriti. The tablet specs are quite competitive in affordable tablets range under Rs. 10000/-.

The funbook is powered by 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 based processor, 512MB RAM and 4GB flash memory which can be expandable to 32GB with MicroSD card. One mini USB port, HDMI port, and 3.5mm audio output are the interfaces to the media world.

Funbook sports Android 4.0 or ICS (Ice Cream Sand-witch) as the operating system and a VGA camera in front for video calls. Hardware buttons on top are volume rocker and power and in front are for back and usual three android button on front, at 10mm the tablet falls in slimmest category in this range.

Disappointing factors are battery which is 2800mAh and viewing angle on the low resolution screen, but what can you expect at the cost.
