Apple has announced availability of its web browser Safari for the windows platform. Although the apple Chief Executive says that they are pushing it for increasing the market share from 4.9% of total browser market of web browsers, the move appears to expand the developer platform for iPhone which uses Safari for the web application platform.
A test version of Safari 3 for Windows XP, Vista and Apple Macs running OSX, is available for download from the Apple website. Apple is hoping to replicate the success of iTunes, which has proved enormously popular on both Macs and Windows machines.
