LG Cookie Plus (GS 500) annoucned

Lg has announced the updated version of its best selling cellphone KP500 better known as Cookie. The Cookie Plus model named as GS500 improves upon KP500 in many ways. The launch date is about early March 2010 in Europe.

The entry level smartphone revolution which was started by LG Cookie, was carried further by Samsung Star duos and Samsung Corby range to fullest. In those days LG was sleeping quite basking in success of its Cookie. But this year they are planning to introduce a slew of products in Cookie range to counter the Corby dominance in this particular price range.

The new generation Cookie has gotten itself 3G, 3.5mm jack and microUSB port. The most significant changes, however, relate to its interface and functionality.

Focused on social networking, the LG Cookie Plus boasts a flurry of friendly networking features, including support for Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and other popular sites. According to LG, some of the coolest new features of the Cookie Plus are the Cartoon-like user interface (is that Corby influence) that comes with 18 colorful themes for greater personal expression and LiveSquare, a peer management application that keeps track of your most frequent contacts.
