HTC Smart a BREW MP smartphone

HTC has been known for Windows mobiles recently they have also introduced some smartphones into Android platform and quite successful in doing that. The first google phone is actually made by HTC and known as Google Nexus One.

Now they have announced a new phone that brings the Sense interface to the Qualcomm Brew Mobile Platform. Brew is the platform used on millions of feature phones, and integrated it with the HTC Sense interface looks to further blur the distinction between feature phone and smart phone.

As it appears from news in media sources, the Qualcomms Brew Mobile platform is free to Device vendors and Mobile operators as such the prices of devices should be kept low to submerge the difference between a feature phone and a smart phone.

The HTC Smart is a touch phone that looks like many HTC phones on the market. It is a phone using touch widgets to customize the user experience. I guess you could say that the Smart brings the Brew platform into the smartphone age. Brew makes it possible to produce cheap feature phones due to the low cost of the platform, and this brings Sense technology to a much cheaper class of products.
